Prison Yoga Project Brazil is committed to bringing the transformative power of yoga to historically marginalized communities, including those impacted by the prison system. Their work focuses on fostering healing, well-being, and social transformation through trauma-informed yoga practices, with a deep emphasis on addressing systemic inequities and supporting resilience within diverse environments.
Under the leadership of Paulo Gombos, PYP Brazil builds on years of impactful work within the field. With over 23 years of yoga practice and 11 years of facilitation experience, Paulo has specialized in Hatha Yoga, Premananda Yoga, Yoga for Children and Adolescents, Yoga for Physical Limitations, and Yoga in Prisons through the Prison Yoga Project’s Foundational Training.
Through PYP Brazil, Paulo and the team continue to prioritize community well-being, using yoga as a tool for transformation and healing in environments where it is most needed.
