As we close in on the goal for our end of the year fundraising campaign – we’re more than three-quarters of the way there – we want to share with you the words of another former prisoner who has gone on to give back to his community, as a teacher and case manager for at-risk youth.
“I unlocked myself, while still being physically locked up in prison. I came to not feel bad to smile again, to cry again, to feel again, to have sympathy for other people.”
Our programs give incarcerated people an opportunity to reconnect to their humanity and develop their emotional intelligence. The work they do to “unlock themselves while locked up” creates a ripple effect as they return to their communities, ready to pass those gifts on to others. Your support, whether serving in prison or jail or supporting that work financially, starts that ripple.
We’re counting on you to help us raise $20,000 by December 31st. We’re close to realizing this goal. Please donate before the end of the year. Your gift will be matched by a group of generous donors, resulting in twice the impact.
Thank you!
