Geoff O’Meara

Geoff O’Meara (he/him) – Program Director, UK

Geoff O’Meara, RYT-200, is PYP’s Program Director for the UK. Before moving there, Geoff was the Prison Yoga’s program director for Community Yoga, a US nonprofit based in Austin, Texas. In 2010, he started facilitating the organization’s early offerings at addiction recovery centers and incarceration facilities. He attended his first PYP training in 2011; moved by the inspiration and accomplishment of founder James Fox, Geoff finally saw how he could make a lifelong commitment to supporting transformative justice. After six years of teaching at the Travis County Correctional Complex and further training with Sundara Yoga Therapy, Geoff relocated to the UK, joined PYP as their UK Program Director, and has been busy teaching, supporting teachers, establishing new programming, and coordinating the distribution of PYP books in Europe.

Geoff is also a co-founder and director of the Space To Breathe Collective – a Leicester-based Yoga/Wellness center – and regularly teaches primary and secondary school students through the Yoga outreach organization, Mindful Warriors.
